Pasta with Sardines and Tomato

Ingredients:
2 cans of sardines
500 g pasta
3 tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Salt and pepper
Basil
Chives
Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Cook the pasta and reserve 200 ml of the cooking water. Drain the sardines, cut them in half, and set aside. On low heat, gently sauté the finely chopped garlic in olive oil. Add the tomato paste and mix well, then add the fresh chopped tomatoes. Cook until softened, then add the sardines. After two minutes, add the pasta and pour in 100 ml of the reserved pasta water.
Season with salt, pepper, basil, and chives. Stir well and cook for an additional two minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and drizzle with a few more drops of olive oil.
