Weekend Inspiration for Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients for Stroganoff Sauce:
900 g beef
220 g mushrooms
One small red onion
Two cloves of garlic
100 ml white wine
400 ml beef broth
100 ml sour cream
Three teaspoons of flour
One tablespoon of butter
vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
One tablespoon of fresh chives
Preparation: Slice the beef into strips, then season with salt and pepper. Heat oil and quickly sear the beef until it turns dark brown. Remove the meat from the pan, then add chopped onion, mushrooms sliced into thicker pieces, and a piece of butter. Sauté until the mushrooms turn golden brown, then add white wine and beef broth. Return the meat to the pan and let it simmer over low heat for about an hour. Cooking time depends on the type of beef used, so check the dish every twenty minutes or so and adjust the time as needed. Towards the end, add sour cream and pieces of fresh chives to the sauce. Mix well and serve over wide noodles, rice, polenta, or boiled potatoes.
Enjoy! 😊
