Creamy Gnocchi with Chicken
Weekend inspiration for perfect creamy gnocchi with chicken.
- 700 ml of chicken stock
- 500 g of boneless chicken drumsticks
- 500 g of gnocchi
- 400 g of chopped canned tomatoes
- three tablespoons of sour cream
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon of paprika powder
- vegetable oil for stewing
- salt and pepper as desired
- fresh parsley for serving
Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft.
Add the chicken cut into strips. Simmer for a few minutes until the meat is golden brown.
Add finely chopped garlic and sauté for about one minute.
Pour in the chopped tomatoes and chicken stock, and salt and pepper as desired.
Add the bay leaf to the pan, then the paprika powder.
Cover and cook everything together for about 10 minutes until the flavors combine.
Add the gnocchi to the pot and cook for another ten minutes until the gnocchi are fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
Towards the end of cooking, remove the bay leaf and add 3 tablespoons of sour cream. Mix well.
Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
