Weekend Inspiration: Baked Meatballs with Cheese
- 500 g of ground beef
- 125 g of mozzarella
- 20 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 200 g of tomato sauce
- Fresh basil or parsley for serving
Super easy and juicy meatballs with cheese and tomato sauce! Serve them with zucchini noodles or mashed potatoes.
Before starting the preparation, preheat the oven to 200 °C. In the meantime, mix the ground meat, mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg in a large bowl. Lightly coat the baking dish with oil. Using a large spoon, separate the mixture into parts, then form balls and place them in the baking dish.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked. Remove from the oven, pour the tomato sauce over them, and arrange the pieces of mozzarella. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
